Dmitry Yudin, piano

 

Dmitry Yudin was born in Moscow on May 16, 2001. In 2008 - 2019, he was Professor Lydia Grigoryeva's student at the Moscow Gnessins School of Music. Dmitry has taken part in a number of national and international competitions and festivals, winning prizes and audiences at numerous international events like the 15th International Scriabin Piano Competition (Paris, 2015, 1st prize), 3rd International Classical Music Festival and Competition for Young Pianists, Astana Piano Passion (Astana, 2015, 3rd prize), 2nd Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Piano Competition (Moscow, 2017, prize), 17th Youth Delphi Games in Russia (Vladivostok, 2018, silver medal). 

In 2014-2018, Dmitry regularly performed with the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College orchestra of St. Petersburg in Russia, Latvia and Lithuania. For several years since 2013, Dmitry took part in Vladimir Spivakov's International Charity Foundation programs. In January 2006, Dmitry Yudin gave a solo recital in Vilnius, Lithuania, as part of the Christmas Festival sponsored by Vladimir Spivakov's ICF.  In 2016-2018, he was a prize winner of the Moscow Mayor's Arts Grant Program. Since the spring of 2018, he has been participating in concert programs of the St. Petersburg House of Music on numerous stages in Russia and abroad. In December 2019, Dmitry gave a solo recital at The Russian Cultural Center in Washington D.C.

Dmitry has given solo recitals across Russia and abroad. His performance record includes concerts with orchestras like the Baltic States Youth Symphony Orchestra, Baltic Music Academy Symphony Orchestra, Musica Viva Moscow Chamber Orchestra, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Tomsk Academic Symphony Orchestra.

Since August 2019, Dmitry has been studying with Horacio Gutierrez at the Manhattan School of Music where he was awarded full scholarship. During the pandemic, he gave several virtual solo recitals at MSM.

In February 2022, Yudin became the winner of the MSM Eisenberg-Freid Concerto Competition with Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto-2. He performed the Concerto with maestro George Manahan in September 2022.

In the summer of 2022 he won scholarships for the Aspen Music Festival in Aspen, Colorado, and the Tel-Hai Piano Master Classes in Israel where he was awarded the Diploma of the Best Participant of the Master Classes.

Dmitry has taken part in master classes by E. Korolev, V. Derevyanko, B. Berezovsky, D. Bashkirov, B. Bloch, R. Goode, E. Krasovsky, A. Vardi. By now he has performed in Russia, United States, Ukraine, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, France, Croatia, and Greece.
